of the Lord's Prayer
The Lord'south Prayer (also called Our Father) is a fundamental prayer in Christianity. In the New Attestation according to the Holy Bible, it appears in 2 forms: in the Gospel of Matthew 6:nine–xiii, as office of the discourse on ostentation in the Sermon on the Mount, and in the Gospel of Luke, which records Jesus being approached by "one of His disciples" with a request to teach them "to pray as John taught his disciples." According to the Aramaic/Syriac Peshitta, the prayer concludes with "For Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever." in Matthew, and with "Let us not into temptation but deliver usa from the evil ane." in Luke. The liturgical form is Matthean.
English language versions

Though Matthew 6:12 uses the term debts, the older English versions of the Lord'southward Prayer uses the term trespasses, while ecumenical versions often utilize the term sins.
